This lamp is mark VD500 on the bottom. It is 20" tall. It's in great shape. Thanks for looking.
CONDITION: very good, darkening to the brass; works, although push-button on/off switch is loose and functions fine if one holds it firm underneath; securing it would be a minor repair for a lamp dealer, if desired.

Definitely a lamp exuding "character". Standing 60", this old floor lamp is just the right height to read by or generate enough general light to liven up a room. It still retains most of its colorful original polychrome paint over the wood structure. Two pull-chain sockets will take up to 100 watt bulbs. The lamp has been rewired sometime in the not-too-distant past. The funky bead-fringed shade is in good shape but may not be as old as the lamp which goes back to the early deco era

This Victorian lamp was made circa 1900. We do not know when it was electrified, but the switches look to be of plastic, perhaps a Bakelite material. The height of the lamp with the metal font in place is 7 1/2" tall. The metal base is 6" by 6". The metal is not marked. We have no idea who made the lamp. The glass is a matte red with clear round circles or bullseyes. There are no chips or damage. The wick riser button has the words Made In US Of America.
The lamp top and base are in a bright yellow glass. The lamp has a decorated white cylinder tube that covers the fluorescent light. The decorated cylinder has a decal that shows the same picture on all sides. It is slightly worn in spots. The base has a curved design. No chips or damage on the glass that we can see or feel. We are dating this from the 1930's. The height is 19 1/2" tall. The base measures 7 1/2" across.
