A rare model of Ghurra composed of a chain with 2 square links whose upper link carries an ancestor seated at its top who seems to be in a meditation position. The lower link shows on each of its 4 faces naive sculptures of various mythical animals, elephant, deer, cow, dog and peacock. The ancestor measures 9 cm high, his face measures 3 cm. Superb hard inlaid patina. Presented on an iron stand. Note that this ghurra has undergone several discreet local repairs...

Small Indian Jain bronze of a seated Vishnu. His wife, Lakshmi is seated on his left knee. Vishnu hold his attributes, the conch shell in his upper right hand and Sudarshana Chakra (discus) in his upper left. Patina and traces of vermillion pigment. The faces of both deities are smooth from years of reverent handling.

Small Indian Jain bronze depicting the seated figure of Vishnu with Lakshmi seated on his left knee. Lakshmi, the inseparable energy of Vishnu, sits with her right arm around Vishnu's waist. Below him on the rectangular platform is the tiny figure of his vehicle Garuda, identifiable by his tiny but unmistakable wings. Two other smaller figures hold up each of Vishnu's knees.

A very old ghurra with super fine design achievement, Note a standing protector ( H 3.5 cm) on each side of the house on top of the ghurra, the protectors are barely visible as they are deeply encrusted and worn out, exceptional signs of a great use , at least from early 20th, H 24 cm, wide 6 cm, thick 4 cm.

These mall sized ghurras are used to churn small quantity of milk when in summer pasture with sheep, the carving shows 4 separated poles joined with a rope knot and surmounted by 4 milk pots supporting a ram , very nice black patina with important signs of used, at least from mid 20th, from Rukkum district . DESCRIPTION: An antique hand-painted ceremonial drum with vivid motifs of large flowers with curling green tendrils against a red ground. Both ends of the drum are covered in animal hide and secured with round-headed metal studs. This highly decorative drum makes a perfect little end table, or adds a touch of exotic to any décor. Tibetan Himalayan low grade large Hard Silver Belt Buckle, Ca. 1930's, 11 1/2" wide, 3 3/4" high, 1 3/4" deep, slightly curved to fit the shape of the front part of the waist, and high relief deep hand hammered and impressed design of double goats in the center with three(3) inlaid turquoise stones, large loose ring is attached on the bottom and two(2) hooks are located on the back inside. The condition is good, no damages.

The size of Covered Box: 2 15/16" Dia x 5" High Box alone, 6 3/4" High with wooden stand. Stand 4 1/8" Square. The covered box is made with Soap Stone carved around the box with Elephant design. 1/8" depth carved. Two little elephant on top as knob. they are also carved from soap stone. The condition of Box and cover excellent condition. Very little wear. The stand has one little cut error on one corner. It is made in India. The age of item from 1960-1970's.
