Pair of Japanese Meiji wood block printed Ukiyoe Books , wonderful printing each book has a double color cover. Each signed in fairly good condition for the age. We used the Samurai cover to make a line of greeting cards one is included in sale. 7 by 4.35" the book with the Geisha has worm damage through cover.

Katsuda, dated '76, and numbered 57/100 on the bottom margin. Paper: 17 3/8" x 12 5/8” (image: 14" x 9 1/2"). Very good overall condition. Printed on thick laid paper with full margins. The original price of 12,000 yen is on the bottom right corner of the back...

Japanese sosaku hanga woodblock print depicting a pavilion in the woods near a pond by Inui Tai (b. 1929). The artist was active from the end of the 1940s through the 1980s and was heavily influenced by the work of Shiko Munakata. Paper size: 12 1/2" x 12 1/2" (image: 9 3/8" x 11 3/8"). Very good overall condition with some wrinkling to the fine paper and minor soiling to the bottom margin edge. Similar prints by this artist can be seen in the online collection of the Spencer Museum...
