Matching pair of oxblood porcelain monochrome vases. Vases have gorgeous red tone with vertical streaks of varying blue, and green white dripping glaze. Inside of vases are white, with residual color dripping into mouths. Beautiful condition, pear shape in form, shorter necks with fluted rims. Lips have a white ring. Circa 1950 Dimensions: 17" Tall, 9" Diameter

An antique Japanese Todana Tansu made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. Original iron hardware including the Warabite handles. Eight drawers and a pair of sliding doors allows for spacious storage. Original used in Japan as a family multi-purpose storage chest, it would function well as a buffet or sideboard chest.

Age: Showa Era (1930's).

Pair of Chinese over-glaze iron red bowls outlining a design of peonies and lotus heads among leafy vines on the white ground on the outside and similarly decorated on the inside. The base glazed white with an under-glaze blue six character Daoguang mark surrounded in double blue circles.

Size: Approximately 6" diameter by 2-1/4" high

Condition: Good condition, no breaks or cracks...

Additional photos of this fabulous Accordion book of 12 paintings by Kimura Seiun enclosed in a wooden box titled Atami Dan Ko-gasatsu and dated early Spring of Showa 4 (1929). The introductory page is written by Zen priest Hashimoto Dokuzan of Tenryuji Temple in Kyoto. The paintings are each signed with various names used by Kimura, mostly Seiun or Ren. The introductory and concluding pages are both dated 1929. It is 28 x 14 cm (5-1/2 x 11 inches) and in overall outstanding condition...
