This later, stoutly potted porcelain hexagonal Ao-Kutani censer may be Meiji or as late as Taisho era. But the six biscuit panels with relief depictions of sages are noteworthy each with an associated animal from Chinese lore. Green yellow and red enameled decoration of blossoms and clouds. A set of yoroi and kabuto for Boy's Day in Japan. The condition is almost new except the color (salmon pink) of strings is not so reddish (dull, faded color). There is a straight crack along the wood grain on the lid - did not show up well in the last photo. Total height is 30 1/2". The dimensions of wood box are 16 1/2" wide x 13" long x 12 3/4" high.

The shaker is 11.5 inches (29.2 cm) tall by 9 inches (23 cm) wide. The cup is 4.2 inches (10.8 cm) tall by 2.6 inches (6.6 cm) wide. They are 2414.9 gram.
They are tarnished and have surface wears and scratches, a dent at the cover, and minor bent at the cups (as seen in the photos).
