Pair of Chinese stoneware turquoise glazed seated lions on pedestal bases.

Age: Ming Dynasty (16th/17th century)

Size: Approximately 14" high

Condition: There is some wear to the glaze and slight chipping. I am not sure if one of the ears on the lions has been repaired or if the yellow glaze covering has just chipped away.

A pair of Chinese famille verte enameled porcelain boxes formed as recumbent quails. Realistically modelled, the feathers under green, aubergine and yellow glazes, the interiors glazed turquoise. The underside of the boxes molded with a pair of tucked-in legs, left unglazed. Resting on carved fitted wooden stands.

Size: Each measuring 7" wide, 4.25" deep and 4-1/8" high. Height on stand 6"

Condition: Good condition...

Pair of Chinese jade celadon carved vases with ring handles and covers. The overall carved design on the hexagon shaped vases are flower branches. The covers carry a lotus bud finial with similar carving.

Size: Approximately 8" high

Condition: Overall in generally good condition, some nicks. I believe that one of the rings has broken off and is missing.

DESCRIPTION: A colorful pair of Chinese cloisonne deer, both standing foursquare with heads turned, their bodies decorated with a profusion of designs including dragons and taotie masks, all on a turquoise blue ground. These are a nice larger size, perfect for a table centerpiece. Republic Period (1911 - 1949); very good condition. DIMENSIONS: Each 15.5" long (39.3 cm) x 15" high (38 cm).

Chinese enameled porcelain Famille Rose vase, depicting children playing, from early to mid 20th century era, seal mark to the base. Size: Height of this fine vase is 11 5/8 inches, in very good condition with no imperfections.

A Japanese ranma (transom) with a Hinoki (Cypress) frame and a Kusunoki (Camphor) wood hand carved Chiku Bai theme in highly detailed three dimensional relief. Artist signed Tosho Nakajima. Most likely mounted in a wealthy Japanese home or a fancy Ryokan (country inn). Its main theme is a majestic Plum Blossom tree (Bai) accented with Bamboo (Chiku).

The ranma was often mounted above the Fusuma sliding doors between rooms to allow the air to circulate freely...

Beautiful Chinese jade tree with blooming flowers of hand-carved rose quartz, jade, agate, and other hardstones . The tree is set in a stunning cloisonné enamel vase with stand. Very fine detailing.

Eastern Han dynasty (25 CE-220 CE) bronze mirror with four birds design, for a matching piece see Honolulu Museum of art. Size almost 4" diameter.

Burmese repousse silver bowl, the bulbous basin with panels decorated with intricately hammered and chased reserves of pronounced animals, early 20th century period. Contemporary Korean single section kitchen cabinet, made with bold elm wood (Keyaki in Japanese). This piece has an upper and lower set of sliding doors with attractive latticework over rice paper. The top and mid region have four small drawers across, with the very top middle drawers as hidden compartments. The bottom of the piece has two doors on hinges, and a middle lock to match the others.

Vintage bronze vase with patterns of butterflies made by an artist named, Nobuharu. The piece contains an inscription dating to March of 1953 where students from Tojo Photo Studio gave the vase to their teacher in celebrating the 40th anniversary of their studio.
