Painted in mirror images with figures surrounded by buildings in a mountainous coastal landscape. The opposite side with grey birds perched upon a slender prunus. Each side and tops of the vase contain texts and poems...
A hermit under a plum tree. Painted with ink and pigments on silk. Signed Shumei and sealed.
The hermit seems to be relaxing under the plum tree, as if meditating. It is depicted with so much presence that he almost pop off the screen...

Note: Not sealed by the artist. We've encountered a sealed late twentieth century example. Please see our last photo. This Zojoji design is very similar to a well-known 1930s Hasui print.
Finely carved chief sceptre with a genie sitting on its top, surmounting a squatting ancestor, under which are geometric relief designs leading to the lower part. Wood, with nice glossy patina. Old porcelain ball attached with a small cotton rope to the top of the genie's head. Indonesia, Borneo Island, Dayak ethnic group. Height: 38,.5 cm. The piece is nicely mounted on a custom stand. Very good condition. A rare piece.
Japanese silken kimono with bright shades of orange, goldenrod, and tan in a mist pattern, with triangular patterned silk panels and military style buttons in front. It is lined with pretty ivory silk with light pink grapes and grape leaves. Taisho period (1912-1925)

A very unusual modern Japanese pottery vase. Exaggerated chatter decoration spiraling from the foot to the shoulder, the tacky clay lifted to a very coarse texture before firing. The neck to rim, also spiraling up the vase, finished smoothly. Apparently in the tradition of the stoneware tile work kilns of Bizen and Tokoname. Studio artist marks in impressed cartouches on the foot. Excellent condition. Height, 8 inches.
Set of 6 (1930's) Chinese Sterling Silver Tea Cup & Saucer with Melon & Butterfly Marked
The dish is 0.6 inch (1.5 cm) tall by 2.95 inches (7.5 cm) wide. The cup is 1.4 inches (3.5 cm) tall by 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) wide. The total weight is 369 gram.
They have tarnished silver and surface scratches. One cup has minor bent at the side. Two of the cups have bent at the bottom (as seen in the photos).

A very impressive African tribal Senufo bird statue measuring 61.75 inches high with a 25" wingspan. The bird's wings are carved in relief with images of lizards, crocodiles, turtles and birds.
