An interesting example of modernist enamel and copper work from Edward Winter (1908 - 1976). Winter studied at the Cleveland School of Art, after graduation in 1931, he studied metalworking and enamelling with Joseph Hoffman in Vienna.
This bowl dates from the 1940's or early 50's and measures a full 6 1/2 inches in diameter and is in fine condition with no cracks or chips. It is signed on the reverse with the Winter signature. A super example of mid-century modern craft work from a sought... Click for details

Mr. Tom, by Kay Finch of California was made, circa 1960. He was bought from the authors of the book, "Kay Finch Ceramics Her Enchanted World", Mike Nickel and Cindy Horvath. This came out of their personal collection and was once part of Kay Finch's personal collection in Corona del Mar. He is actually pictured in their book on page 53.
