An interesting example of modernist enamel and copper work from Edward Winter (1908 - 1976). Winter studied at the Cleveland School of Art, after graduation in 1931, he studied metalworking and enamelling with Joseph Hoffman in Vienna. This bowl dates from the 1940's or early 50's and measures a full 6 1/2 inches in diameter and is in fine condition with no cracks or chips. It is signed on the reverse with the Winter signature.
