This 11 inch by 8 inch dark blue transferware or transfer ware platter was made in 1890 by J.H. Weatherby & Sons, Hanley, Staffordshire England and is called Trentham. It is marked semi porcelain. It is molded and has a gilt rim. There are a couple of manufacturing flaws due to impurities in the clay--frequently seen in this era--but no chips or cracks. (See photo) but otherwise is in very good condition for it's age. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured with tracking is $10.40.

This beautifully executed porcelain plaque is really a sculpture of Anemones (Anemone Pulsatilla L.) with other small flowers surrounding them. The plaque is signed with what appears to be "F Riegl" in sepia on the lower right corner. The visible part of the plaque itself measures 6 1/2" x 9", while the frame itself measures 10 1/2" x 13". Their are two tiny chips, one on the petal of one of the anemonies, and one on the petal of an (?) aster. Other than that, the piece is in excellent condition... Click for details

Pair of porcelain Owl bookends by Boehm Studios of Trenton, NJ. Approximately 9 1/2" high. Traditionally mounted on books. This unlimited edition was introduced in 1960 under Boehm Studio mark Number 453. The piece was discontinued in August 1970, after approximately 1,400 pairs had been produced. Very good condition.
