The shape of the four-inch high jug or creamer shows the influence of Art Deco on Joseph Mrazek's Peasant Art Pottery. The hand-painted trademarked decoration on yellow ground is bright although there are missing paint flecks, primarily in the black rim. Also there is a hairline crack visible mostly inside the jug (see photo). The base has the Mrazek printed mark with the shape numbers 2981.K. Charming piece on which the damage is minimal, made between 1926 and 1933.

This set truly is hard to find, the mayonnaise bowl with attached liner, lid and spoon made by Mrazek. It is a marriage of a blue ground lid with a black ground bottom, the lid fits correctly. The spoon has been broken and re-glued (see photo), is extremely rare, and could be restored professionally. The set measures about five and three-quarters inches across the base and four inches high, has both impressed and printed marks, and was made in Czechoslovakia between 1920 and 1935. In all oth...
