This example is hand painted with exceptional detail. No cracks or repairs. Height: 15 inches and 10 3/4 long. The figure is signed by the artist " Markup B." He was designing for Herend between the 1920s and 1940s. Figurines and sculptures were not prominent in the Herend range in the 19th century, but many such pieces were made in the first half of the 20th century, in accordance with the tastes of the day. There is a very rare porcelain Lenin inkpot by famous Russian artist Natalya Y.Dan’ko.
These pieces was made in limited edition and presented only to the members of
presidium of the Congress of Communist Party.
The inkpot consists of two books, a scroll and a bust of Lenin standing on them,
with a removable inkwell embedded in the books. On the scroll runs the slogan,
the cover of the inkpot bears a facsimile of Lenin’s two signatures in Cyrillic,

Livia GORKA (Hungary, 1925-)- Pair of black and white striped green-eyed birds. Height 18 cm, Length 16 cm. Artist's monogram "GL" and "Hungary".
Livia GORKA had his father, Géza Gorka, as his master. A free-lancing artist, she worked in the Gorka workshop in Verõce until 1959, and in her own studio since then. The source of her art is nature, her typical objects are large asymmetrical vessels, idols, fish, birds, stones.
