A delightful, Le Tallec, handpainted frog on a lilly pad, ebony enamel with green accents, brass, floral clasp, gilded pattern inside lid; 3.875" (9.84 cm) high, by 2.125" (5.39 cm) diameter. Signed on the base, with the familiar Le Tallec signature. Excellent condition except for two tiny scuffs to black enamel on the front top of the lid. c. 1943-1950. $9 US Shipping.

This porcelain miniature cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Crown Derby in 1920. There are date ciphers indicating this date. The saucer is 2 1/4 inches in diameter and the cup is 1 inch high. The decoration on this set is the famed "Imari" pattern. It is hand painted in cobalt blue, orange and lots of fancy gilding.
