A pretty pair of Dresden porcelain candlesticks with traditional hand-painted floral decoration. Dresden candlesticks are rather uncommon. The squared bases are intricately pierced and decorated with flowers and gilt highlights. The columns are similarly decorated. Bobeches separate the columns from the candle sockets. An early studio pottery vase by Gerhard Liebenthron, that is signed and dated. The piece has a primitive decor with incised lines and shapes revealing the reddish earthenware. It has an unusual shape (see the many images) and is in excellent condition. It's about 8 1/2 " tall. Liebenthron started his own workship in Bremen in 1952 so this is a very early work of his and differs very much from his later pieces although abstract figures and designs feature in all of his work. This German studio vase is by Sybille Karrenberg, daughter of the well known ceramic artist, Paul Dresler. He founded the Grootenburg Pottery prior to WWII and their signature works are often glazed in various dark reds and greens and decorated with incised lines.

This piece is c.1970s, signed on the base SK and is quite heavy. It is 10" tall and in fine condition.

This studio ceramic vase is by Monica Maetzel (her mark is on the base). It has a semi gloss glaze of varying towns of cocoa brown along with areas of green interspersed throughout. This piece is c.1980s and is 8 1/4" tall and is about 17 1/2" in circumference at it's widest. Excellent condition and very attractive piece.

This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by Meissen before 1930. It is 6 1/4 inches in diameter. The decoration is the traditional Chinese green dragons and fighting cocks. The dish is expertly hand painted. It would be a suitable addition to a demitasse cup and saucer of this pattern. This dish is first quality and in excellent condition.

Lovely Tirschenreuth Bavarian hard paste desert/pie plate 20th century. The pattern is called Dresden and the pattern is #4326. Manufacturer status: Discontinued. The plate consists of Dresden flowrs with gold scrolls. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or restoration. It measures approximately 7 inches in diameter.
