This pair of porcelain figurines was produced in Germany by Meissen before 1940. The girl and the boy are each 5 1/2 inches tall. They are modeled in excellent quality hard paste porcelain with great attention to detail. There is a peasant girl and farm boy. The boy is carrying grapes and a spade. The girl has a basket of flowers. They are hand painted with bright colored enamels. They are first quality with no restoration or defects.

This porcelain figurine was produced in Germany by Rosenthal in 1952. Professor T. Karner was the artist who modeled this piece. The height is 5 1/4 inches and it is 4 inches wide. This kitty is in typical mischief pose, ready to attack anything that crosses his path. He is mostly white with tabby striped patches. A pottery vase by Richard Uhlemeyer, a German studio potter whose work had a significant influence on the mid-century artistic explosion of the 1950's-70's. In 1938, three years after opening his own workshop, he received his master’s designation in pottery. He experimented with the development of differentiated and complicated glazes.
