What a knock-out!!! This wonderful majolica dessert set was made by Villeroy & Boch in Schramberg, Germany. It is pure Art Nouveau, decorated with late-blooming larger snowdrops and forget-me-nots. These plates as well as the serving plate are incised around the edges. The large oval cake plate is marked as is one of the dessert plates - there are six in all. Very nice vintage majolica ribbon plate that I believe is German. It has a cream background with pink roses and colorful leaves. It measures 8" across and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs. It is marked on the back Steidl Znaim with what looks like an eagle and the numbers 1081 impressed and 24 written. This would be a great addition to your collection!
