Interesting art deco dancer from the Rosenthal Bahnhof-selb factory, Germany. About 1925. The figure is designed by the Russian Dorothea Charol who was a member of the Russian colony of Russian emigrants in Berlin. In the 1920s she was the most prominent designer for the art department of the Bahnhof-selb factory. German porcelain figurine by Rosenthal, looks a lot like Nymphenburg - perhaps was designed by an artist who worked for Nymphenburg at one point (?) A pair of floral-decorated knife rests by Meissen. Each with the Meissen crossed swords mark, in blue, underglaze. Fine porcelain rests with hand-painted floral decoration at either end of each rest and on three sides - a total of 12 different floral designs. Gilt trim. In excellent condition with only slight wear overall. Each rest measures approximately 3 3/4 inches in length.
