This pottery vase is by Barbara Stehr, a well known ceramic artist and professor of ceramics in Germany. A white on white glaze with small accents of a pinkish color decorates this 4 1/4 inch tall vase. The effect is almost that of foam dripping down the sides. The base of the piece bears her mark. There is a tiny scratch in the pedestal part of the vase but otherwise in excellent condition.

(according to images in "Keramik des 20 Jahrhunderts Deutschland", their mark was a stylized version of their initials ST, post 1965). Working since the late 1940s, Annemarie designs the shapes while her husband Werner supervises the glaze decoration.* This piece is 4 1/2 inches tall and has a lovely blue crystalline decor. In excellent conditio... Click for details
