I couldn't resist this unusual majolica creamer and sugar I purchased in Brussels. The colors are so reminiscent of the colors we often find on old conch shells on the coast. I love the small shell as the sugar bowl handle. As you can tell , in the 3rd photo, the glaze is absent from the very bottom of the footings. It is in perfect condition and I think so delightful!

One-of-a-kind Marcello Fantoni studio piece that was purchased from the home of Irving Richards, the owner of Raymor. One cannot ask for a better provenance than this. Likely made as a holiday gift from Marcello Fantoni to Mr. Richards because of all the pieces Irving Richards bought from Fantoni for his Raymor company. The colors are bright and vibrant and are better than my photos. It is a relief with hand carving. Framed in black wrought iron. The glaze is unique and one of a kind. It is a ri... Click for details

This is a FABULOUS RETRO PAIR OF HEADVASES or LARGE CUPS. Either way, these are an intriguing couple, with obvious mid-century Italian flair. Hand made in Italy of molded, incised and painted pottery. Imported by Meiselman Imports. Excellent condition – no cracks, chips or repairs, but these do have some glaze crazing, which is typical of the era. Probably made in the 1960s or early 1970s. The lady (numbered “E/545”) stands about 8 1/2” tall and 5 1/2” across the top. The gentleman (numbe... Click for details

Classical Stone Garden Urn, decorated with classical figures perfect for the garden or patio. H:35.5" Diameter:23"
The origin and history of the Classical Urn especially used in the garden, the urns begins long before the ancient gardens of Mesopotamia and Egypt. The Greeks first used garden urns for practical purposes; a lack of water and rocky soils led them to use huge terracotta urns for plantings. Excavations around temples in Athens found rows of terracotta urns inserted into the ground w... Click for details
