Big, heavy and beautiful crackle glazed stoneware dish by Nils Thorsson for Royal Copenhagen, Denmark. Inside the oval formed dish is a motif of a fish in the water, but you must search to find it! The dish, which is in good condition, has the monogram signature of Nils Thorsson both incised and painted. It bears the no. 20367 and the logo of Royal Copenhagen. Length: 33.5 cm/13.18 inches. Height: 6 cm/2.36 inches. Weight: 3.5 kilogram.

Dagnaes, matte black stoneware vase, Denmark 1950's. Dagnaes was founded in Jutland, near the town Horsens in the 1930's by Niels Peter Nielsen, and his son Carl Johan Ege Nielsen. They were primarily producing unique works and were known for their oxblood glazes, but in the 50-60's, they started producing original minimalistic shaped vessels in black stoneware, finely incised on the outside, similar to items in glass made at Murano and Tapio Wirkkala, Finland. Oxblood glazed bowl and vase by the Swedish ceramist Sven Hofverberg. Sven Hofverberg is represented at the Swedish Nationalmuseum and The Rohsska Museum of Design and Decorative Arts. He is known for his oxblood- and cobalt glazes. Both the bowl and the vase are in good condition with small signs of use (very tiny scratches in the bowl).
