Ball-vase from Axel Bruel's own studio, that he opened at the end of the 1920ies. The vase is a good example for his rustic ceramic design with a rough applied transparent decoration. The body of the vase is covered with a thin brownish ceramic layer on which the decoration is applied. The inside of the vase is coated with a white glaze. Neck and handle are uncovered. At top of the neck smaller pieces of the covering layer are spalled off. A little drop of the inside glaze got on the corpus outs... Click for details

Nils Thorsson Marselis bowl with a very light yellow glaze. The bowl is marked "MARSELIS", the logo from the Aluminia: an "A" with three waves across, "DENMARK" and bears the signature of Nils Thorsson. The form number is 2644. Overall small crazing lines due to age. This is however a typical sign of age for the Marselis products, which are faience products. The Marselis series hit the shops in 1952.
