One of the finest examples of the work of Eva Staehr-Nielsen for Saxbo. This octagonal vase measures 5" high and is 4 1/4" in diameter. On the underside, in the interior of the foot is incised Saxbo, Denmark, the ying-yang symbol, four dots, the number 213, the number 9 and the artist's initials E.ST.N. The glaze is absolutely fantastic; a complex of turquoise, blues and greens. One of the most attractive one can imagine. A masterpiece of color and form. Condition is mint.

This is a very uncommon Berndt Friberg vase. It measures 5 1/2" high and is 3 1/2" in diameter. The glaze is complex of deep reds and blues, and is extraordinary. The cover of the vase is completely removable, and is glazed throughout. On the underside is incised Friberg with the Gustavsberg hand, and the letter L, which dates this piece to 1970. Condition is mint. This is the exact vase that is photographed in the Schiffer book SCANDINAVIAN CERAMICS AND GLASS by Fischler and Gould (p. 58)
