Just fabulous vintage french ornate bronze frame with what I think is a print or photo on celluloid. The material is celluloid and the image is very beautiful with a child with his arm on a sheep. It is black and white with some very muted green of the grass. The brass frame is very ornate with scrolls and great detailing. It rests on 2 feet and has a stand. It measures 6" high and 4" across. Offered here is a very interesting decorative panel in the form of a highly carved architectural piece of ancient wood. Incredibly it is a composition piece mounted to a piece of wood. It is made to hang on the wall, although it is quite attractive on a stand as well. It is amazingly well done and the finish is 100% believable as the real thing. It has age, though it is difficult to say how much. I would estimate 30-40 years. The piece measures 19.5" by 15.5" and weighs about 6.5 pounds.

Charming vintage match box with Barbola flowers and border decorating the top; a huge tassel sweeps from the end and is used as a pull for the interior of the box. It measures 6 ¼” x 2 ¼” x 1” and the tassel is 6 ½” long. Very good condition with just a tiny bit missing on one corner. It’s fun to find some unusual Barbola pieces occasionally.

This very heavy set of book ends has the warm patina of old bronze on wooden base. They each have the original foil Syroco Wood, Syracuse,NY lable. This well known co.,produced such items from a composite material in the 40's and they are fast becoming collected. I've never found this design with the open book,defined pages, ink well and quill pen! So charming for your desk or library!

This item falls into the "what were they thinking?" category. I have seen these from time to time over the years, and I admit to buying them when I find them in good condition because I think they are just so bizarre!
