Finely rendered Miniature Eglomise scene, depicting Independance Hall and Mountain Laurel. Mountain Laurel is the State Flower of Pennsylvania. Being a folk art piece which is undated, I suspect this to be a Vintage item versus an Antique. Evidences a small chip on the side right to the glass, with loss to the paint, which is a minor flaw to the piece. Image size is 4"H X 3 and 1/2"W, and within its distressed silver gilt wood frame, measures 7"H X 6 and 1/2"W.

Great old French baskets found while shopping the markets in France. The large round one, the first of it's kind that I've found, measures approx 29" across and is almost 20" from bottom to top of handle. There is also a standing basket used to sell baquettes. Another basket has a lid which closes and a wooden rod weaves through to keep it closed. There is one more which is very interesting and I'm not sure what it's purpose was. the lid opens to expose a padded area and then the base is co... Click for details
