You can't help but smell the aroma of baguettes when you envision how this was used at one time! So French and authentic, however I've used mine for so many other things also…full of napkins or rolls of my favorite kitchen towel collection, even for serving on a buffet...well,the most unusual use was for my income tax folders for a short time, perfect size! The ideas are endless! Painted deep chocolate brown, in great condition, and most likely hand woven.Photo enlargements 3 and 4 are best for... Click for details

A wonderful brass barber pole, with the swirled striping painted in red and silver, the turnings done in blue and green, and the ball in brown. Originally this would have been displayed outdoors or just inside the door, with a mechanical device that caused it to rotate. Please note that the silver fittings on the top and bottom, which go into the original holes, are new, and were placed there (and can easily be unscrewed) for easy mounting and display. ... Looking amazingly like the real thing, this straw-made duck measures 4" long, 2" wide, and 2 1/4" high. It is slightly faded from age, but is otherwise in excellent condition. If you have a collection of waterfowl and related objects, this will add a new medium to your assemblage. Although I acquired this little gem in France, I am uncertain of its origin.

Quite wonderful "Mammy and Child" a naive rendering with magnificent carved features, lovely polychromed buttermilk paint.
This wooden carved sculpture has a most unusual provenance, documented in the early 1980's by Maine Antiques Digest. This work was originally a "knock off" of depression era (30's) style, the carver well documented, and acknowleged. I have sold a number of his pieces at California shows in the 1970'3-80's. A Folk Art Lion may be available later.... Click for details
