Splendid blue glass box with enamelled decoration of two
dancers, hands interlaced and hair deployed.
Signed Muys. Original label underside: "Véritable Bohème,
Création d'Art Muys".
Origin and period: Bohemian work, Seccession period, circa 1930.
Diameter: 5 7/8" (15 cm); 3 1/2" (9 cm) high. Excellent condition.

Elegant pair of c. 1920-1930 deep brown Bohemian vases, each 8.25" tall and 6.25" diameter. Swelling cylindrical blown molded blanks, the exterior walls covered with an acid etched relief field of large gilded scattered leaves interrupting a frosted ice background. This vase is a beautiful example of Tango glass made by Kralik in Czechoslovakia, circa 1920's. Cased in a layer of crystal covering a layer with vertical stripes and panels of purple, and white. This in turn is over a layer of turquoise blue on the interior. All this is crowned with a brilliant red rim. Very good condition with one open bubble on the rim and a few tool marks on the exterior. Set of four Bohemian glasses, each hand painted with a different pair of dogs. We're not dog experts, but they appear to be Scotties, wolfhounds, spaniels and Dalmatians. The quality of the painting is very nice, as is the quality of the glass. The top and bottom edges are decorated with gilt lines.
