An extremely important design from the venerable Swedish glass firm Orrefors. Spectacular large 'ariel' vase by Ingeborg Lundin, executed in 1961. In blue leaded crystal, with an internal geometric pattern made of air bubbles. Signed on the base "Orrefors, Ariel No. 547K, Ingeborg Lundin." The large vase stands 6" tall and measures 6" in diameter across the top rim. It is extremely heavy and substantial. Item has no chips, cracks or repairs. Modernist vase by Wiktor Berndt for Swedish factory Flygsfors, 1961. The vase has a flattened rectangular form with a tapered neck, and is executed in transparent olive green glass. It is decorated with a 'modern primative' raised relief of two archers readying their bows. Signed "Flygsfors '61, Berndt." This is a truly magnificent dark red glass vase cased in clear glass, entitled " Girl and Dove " ( Flickan och Duvan ), hand-blown by the noted Swedish artist, Edvin Ohrstrom (1906-1994) for Orrefors. Underside is inscribed "ORREFORS ... Ariel nr 467-C ... Edvin Orhrstrom". Depicted in this piece are two primary images: a woman with long flowing hair and a peace dove.
