An oval Danish .830 sterling silver 1-7/8 x 1-1/8" napkin ring c1950s. This 5/8" wide table decoration weighs 17.7 grams, it is marked with the Danish 830 S marks and it has the SvK maker's mark for Svend Hoxvaerd (Copenhagen 1946-?). This item is in excellent original condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs; it has a DAY 1956 inscription. Pair of nice, thick and heavy Sterling Silver Napkin Rings, with the impressed "Alvin Sterling" hallmark and the pattern number "571-1". Lovely repousse scrolling leaf pattern around center, flanked by a row of beading on either side. Both edges of the ring are reinforced with thick, outward folds. Originally a New Jersey company, Alvin moved to Sag Harbor, New York early 20th Century, and was purchased by the Gorham Silver Company in 1928. This whimsical Dutch 830 silver standard sugar and creamer are dated circa 1930. Done to represent a man and woman in an art deco style, the bowl is embossed with a representative design of a man's face and around the bowl's neck and base with bands of geometric design. There is also two asmall handles that may be representative of ears.
