A folky cast metal 8-1/4 x 5-3/8" match holder of a Dutch girl holding two buckets c1900. This kitchen accessory consists of two cast pieces joined with a screw, and it has the original copper patina over the metal. It has TV on each bucket and 2042 mold numbers on the back. Americana Jockey and race horse in original paint.
This charming piece came from a steeplechase arcade game at Roseland Park in Canandaigua, New York, an amusement park that no longer exists. Bronze, possibly brass a magnet does not stick, and there is a yellow color coming through where the paint has chipped off. It has substantial weight for size.
A great piece of amusement park history. Stand is newer, displays figure in racing or jumping position
