A nice pair of brass-patinated cast iron bookends c1910-20. This 4-3/4" across and 4-1/2" tall unsigned pair features a kissing Oriental couple in high relief with excellent original brass patination; they are in excellent condition with no cracks, losses, dents, corrosion, repairs or damage. Cast iron boot scrape in the form of a Scottie in its original blue paint. The two long spikes that hold the boot scrape in the ground are marked "Copyrighted 1927 By Household Patent Co. Morristown, PA." The company made a variety of metal products such as weather vanes and boot scrapes. Excellent condition; about 5% paint loss; the back side has remnants of old fabric-based adhesive tape that could be removed. 10" wide; 15.5" tall.
