A handsome Spanish silver wine taster or tastevin with what appears to be a silver coin from the reign of Carlos IV, dated 1804 inset into the bottom. The interior is repousse worked with 17 ribbed flutes to one side and 16 diagonally chased ribs to the other, intended to give the wine the proper swirl before tasting.
