A high quality sterling silver footed gravy or sauce boat with a scroll handle, made by Birks Canada. This 5-5/8" across the handle and spout sauce dish stands 3-5/8" high, it is stamped BIRKS STERLING (mark in used from 1904-24) and it has a 3/30/ pattern number. Italian born, Sciarrotta (1907 - 1985) was smuggled out of Italy in 1944 by U.S Army Intelligence to work on submarine armaments for the U.S. war effort. Here we have a two piece sterling baby set consisting of a spoon and a pusher. Each has a nice curled handle that chubby little fingers can grasp easily. Both the spoon and the pusher are fully hallmarked (won't photograph), and were made in Birmingham, England 1917-1918, by J. B. Bushell. The pusher is 2.5" long, the spoon is 3" long. They are in fine condition with no breaks, dings or repairs.

Offered here is a very handsome small mid century pill box of 970/1000 silver. The box has a modernist flower form motif on the top with heavy branches or stems and a blossom on the top. The stems are interspersed with leaves that appear to be floating between the branches. The bottom is marked TAXCO 970 MEXICO, and has an early assay mark with the number 3.
