Wonderful cabinet piece of hard stone carved into miniature bowl, 2 1/4" long x 1 1/2" wide x 3/4" high. Beautifully polished piece of very interesting stone with great designs and colorations of transparent to various shades of green. Really amazing little semiprecious stone piece. Could have been used for snuff, but not sure. Mint condition. Dates to the mid 20th century, and probably carved in Germany. A fine vintage Art Deco small ashtray made of solid banded carnelian agate with a finely detailed gilded bronze or brass elephant at one end c1920s. Measuring 2-1/2" x 2" at its widest, this angular Deco ashtray has lovely workmanship, from the detail on the elephant to the slight bevelling to the edges of the stone.
