Three-piece Modernist desk set, white marble with scattered shades of pale green and tan inclusions. The set is German; the interior clock mechanism and letter opener are both marked, "Germany." Our clock expert says that: "the clock is a good one, but it needs a professional cleaning to work," and is missing 2 exterior screws and the time-setting knob. There is slight oxidation to all of the metal, and one small, 1/4" (.63 cm) long chip on the right, rear corner which can easily be smoothed ... Click for details

Unique small bowl which we identify as very thin, polished marble, although it may indeed be some of mineral or gemstone. Note the interesting and varied natural striations within the material. While the outside and beveled foot have been highly polished to resemble a glass surface, it appears the inside has been acid treated for a contrasting, matte finish. Classic and rare art deco mood lamp featuring two men made of metal, with a golden bronze finish, balancing an alabaster ball. The round alabaster ball serves as the shade. In very good condition and in need of rewiring, this item measures app. 14" long and 7" tall.

Beautiful pair of red, white and gray marble urns with brass handles and feet for the mantle ca 1930. Height is 9.5" Base is 3.5" deep by 3.75" wide. Condition is excellent except for a crack on the front of one and a chip out of the back of the other. Both defects are hardly noticeable and the latter does not show up in the pictures. Also there is a gap on the bottom front panel of one which does show up.
