These are two plates are covered with a thick glass like plastic and rimmed/backed by an aluminum frame. The butterfly wings are artistically attached to a backing and the plastic covering is pressed against them. The plates are very light weight. Large Blue plate is 9.25 inches diameter. Small Yellow plate is 4.75 inches diameter. I know these plates are pre1960 because my grandmother purchased them prior to that. Handsome and very dear! This Deer head from Germany! Hand carved and painted, this deer head is truly a beauty. First because it's a work of art from the very early 1900's. Secondly, no dear deer was harmed to create it. Ok, so maybe one had to pose for it! Seriously, this it a magnificent find and perfect for the mountain cottage, office or den! Measures 15" tall x 3 3/4" across the base. There's a hook on the back so it's ready to hang! Very nice condition and lovely patina!
