Having carved half-sails, and sailing on a foamy sea, is this diorama-like replica of the sailing ship "Marion Sprague". Written in pencil on the reverse is the inscription, "Marion W. Sprague built in Boston 1889, 748 ton" and then signed, "George A. Alden, 1941". The piece measures 12 1/2" long, 9" high, and 3 1/2" deep. In good, as found condition with a fine folk art, home-made flavor.

This pretty or handsome box was purchased in France. It has a hinged lid. The top has art work with painting which includes a castle or chateau. A signature is in the lower left, and though the last letter is difficult to read, it appears to be signed, "Myrian." It measures approximately 6 1/2 x 7 inches and almost 3 inches deep.

This beautifully handcrafted vintage tortoise shell case was made to hold cigars in the 1920's having a stylized leaf design incised in silvered metal inside, simple silver clasp and domed rectangular shape. Measures 5 1/2 "x 3". Condition is excellent. This item cannot be shipped outside the US. A great addition to a box collection. desk top decor or cigar accessory collector.

A pair of carved solid walnut plaques featuring a beaver on one and a squirrel on the other. These may have started out as carved plaques or the like, although they would make interesting bookends. 5 1/2" square each. Priced for the pair. Really do not know the age, but likely 20th century.

A high quality hand woven basket, possibly used as a sewing basket. The lid with small central handle and opening with woven hinges. Tight weave, fine material, well fitting throughout.
