This is a Two Piece CARVED ELEPHANT IVORY WHAT NOT BOX. The TOP has a Carved ELEPHANT "Walking beneath a Canopy of Trees", Trunk Raised. The sides are Carved with Depictions of an ANTELOPE, A CAMEL, another ELEPHANT and a LION. The Top comes off and is carefully crafted with Brass hardware and Round Steel Beads that fit into grooves allowing a snap~ tight fit. The size is 4 1/2" long X 4 3/8" tall X 3 1/2" wide. Elegant Antique Art Deco Carved Ivory Feather Brooch

Carved from beautifully grained ivory, this vintage brooch shaped like a feather fan comes from a Florida estate and measures 1 3/4" wide by 2 1/2" in length. The design screams Art Deco. Most likely the piece was kept in a display case since the 1920s or 1930s, since its modern pinstem assembly looks like a recent addition. Supporting the view that it can't have been worn much is the superb condition of the carving.
