Rarely seen Snake Trail quilt is especially effective because of the green background. It is probably a home dyed fabric, not the ubiquitous 1930's green. Trail consist of feedsack fabrics. Wonderful detail in that each corner is finished with a 1/4" piece of the feedsack material. Excellent condition. Backing is a lightweight plaid flannel blanket. Measures 64" x 78". Virginia origin; 1930's.

Lovely, soft toned Flying Geese quilt with red and blue chambrays and a host of gingham checks and shirting stripes. Wonderful fabrics; pristine, unwashed condition. Backing consists of Bars of the chambrays; totally reversible. Measures 69" x 73". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1910. Would make an excellent complement to Item #697989. As with that quilt, the colors are soft reds - not pink as it may appear in some of the photos.

Nine Patch quilt on a chambray ground with wonderful gingham checks. Triangles connecting the Nine Patches create octagons in the off blocks making this more than a simple Nine Patch. A lovely country quilt in classic red, white and blue. (On my monitor, it looks more pinkish, but that is not the case.) Pristine, unwashed condition. Measures 73" x 82". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1910.
