A beautiful, elegant, and rare carpet motif micro beaded purse. The rarity of the purse comes from the use of an open field in a cream white with representations of four flasks. The field is surrounded by a triple guard (borders) of extremely detailed and intricate flower representations. Finely quilted Amish Open Center quilt, most likely from Ohio. Quilted with patterns of concentric circles, wreaths, feathers and cables. Stitching is especially prominent because it is all done in white thread. Unwashed condition; one small area of discoloration that is visible in some, but not all, lights. Measures 68" x 84"; cotton. Circa 1930.

This large fine linen runner or small table cloth, is burtsting with colorful and tiny petit point signs of spring! The linen is very white and perfect. The beautiful bouquets ,butterfly and floral sprigs are all handworked in the finest petit point stitch over the individual linen threads! The hem stitching done by hand in the green of spring. It measures 29" x 50". The colors are rich and design is elegant in person, some photos don't do it justice.

Still sturdy,this soft vintage Swiss cotton sheet was lovingly hand sewn. The hand embroidered monogram is nicely padded and there are small pulled holes at the top of the H which can be easily repaired with satin stitch. The bobbin lace was inserted with hand stitches and I noticed while ironing that it was repaired with a small strip of cotton tape sewn on. I tried to photo the damaged areas. Even with the damage, this is a lovely sheet with many years of life left! 64" wide

This sheet is so soft! It seems to be metis, the French term for the best combination of linen and cotton. There are 2 rows of the 2 1/2" leafy lace applied at the turndown. Wonderful condition! 63" wide. I will be listing some similar sheets to pair up for twin beds.

This fabulous figural appliqued quilt telling the story of How the Elephant Got His Trunk is based upon a story by Rudyard Kipling. By the time this was quilt was made in the 1930's, Kipling's story, written in 1902, had become legendary. Wonderful detailed applique visible in thumbnail photos. Terrific combination of early 20th century calico prints. Unwashed condition. Measures 52" x 74".
