This is a Set of Tropical Pleated Floral Pattern 1940's Lined Drapes with valances, no fading. Set consist of: (1) Valance 11 inches high x 100 inches long (1) Valance 11 inches high x 144 inches long (2) Panels 72 inches wide (pleated) x 80 inches high (2) Panels 48 inches wide (pleated) x 80 inches high 6 Piece TOTAL Vertical seams, minor losses to lining, need dry cleaning, no rips holes or tears on front fabric that I can see. Sold as is.

Twelve black mammies present themselves on this 1930's quilt. Each is dressed in different clothing with prints typical of the era. In addition to the embroidered faces, head scarves add to the realistic impression of the figures. Excellent, probably never washed condition. Diamonds quilted in grid and border; diagonal lines in main blocks. Texas origin; measures 60" x 72".

Unusual applique quilt with the hex signs that are emblematic of the Pennsylvania Dutch. In addition to virtually every barn having one, they are used liberally in the decorative arts. I have never seen this motif, though, as a quilt pattern. Quilting in white ground repeats the pattern. Fabulous border incorporates the circle around each applique block. Excellent condition; very well quilted. Measures 75" x 86". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1930.
