Chinese Coins quilt done in a most unusual palette for the medium heavy wools with which it is made. Soft pastels are not the norm for wool comforters. Pristine condition. Lovely fabrics with soft texture and patterning; satin blanket binding. Measures 70" x 78": Pennsylvania origin. Circa 1930.

Presented here for sale is a rare and highly collectible Grenfell hooked rug from the remote areas of Labrador and Newfoundland, featuring a “vertical” polar bear on an ice flow with gulls overhead. This unique piece, measures 40” long by 26” wide, was hooked by local native women out of discarded articles of clean clothing and old nylon stockings. Most unusual to have a genuine Lancaster County Amish Bars Crib quilt, but particularly as late as 1950. Fabrics are a combination of rayon and wool knit. Subtle, clearly intentional difference in the bars. The outer two are wider and a different fabric than the central two. Measures 29" x 34".

Rare to find such a perfect set of vintage printed napkins! Measuring 15 1/4" X 17 1/2", machine hemmed on all 4 sides,and the linen is drapey but crisp. The color is so vivid, I doubt they've seen much use if any! The background might whiten with laundering,it's creamy colored now, and I haven't done anything to them...just as I discovered them. So delightful for your table!

Baskets of flowers,with lace fillings highlight this almost round (68" X 65") cotton tablecloth. The design,pictured over the round cotton damask tablecloth, shows beautifully. All work seems to be professionally worked by hand,and is very good though not fine, the embroidery is precise but not padded. Drawnwork ,padded embroidery,and French sanding stitches nearly cover these 7" napkins which could also be used as doilies under cups.
