This wonderful matched set is most desirable in that it is a matched set for 6 of extremely fine quality linen damask with wonderful heavy drape. Colored damask of this quality is especially harder to find. And it's Round! The napkin pattern has ribbon tied rosebouquets in each corner and the center is full of roses in ribbon and dot frame,(which also frames the edges). The tablecloth has the same center design. Offered here is a very nice VINTAGE RUG, made in Persia ca. 1950, probably for the western market. It has a cotton warp and the weft is a lustrous, strong wool. The pattern of the rug copies an older W. Turkestan-style design, with an intricate, overall, geometric pattern. The colors are soft green, gold, gray, beige, and mauve (probably aniline purple). The Diamond in the Square is the iconic pattern of the Lancaster County Amish. This quilt, which did originate in Lancaster, is most likely Amish, or certainly strongly influenced by them.
