I just bought a collection of purses from an estate. This one I thought was so beautiful with it's tatwork, beading and cream colored satin liner. The daughter- age 70- told me it was either her mother's or her grandmothers. Maybe for a wedding... I think it is at least 80 years old. A lovely example of a French cut steel beaded evening purse in pristine condition. It is difficult to find these with all of their fringe and beads in tact. While the lining shows some shredding, it is completely usable or could be relined if you choose. It is about 9 1/2 inches long from the top of the frame to the bottom of the fringe and is 4 3/4 inches wide. As is customary with these purses, they open by pushing down on the clasp which is firm and snaps tightly. The chain adds 6 1/4 inches.... Click for details

This deco black silk evening purse has floral embroidery on one side. The fabric gathered (or ruched) around the frame which closes well. The clasp is comprised of two costume bezel set pearls and closes firmly. It is approximately 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 and the chain adds 4 3/4". The lining is pristine and the purse is in excellent condition.

Fabulous sassy pouch and totally intact, a major feat for a little purse that ancient! Large blue faceted beads, two levels of tiny silver bead fringe and an eight strand long tassel. Great lining and metal drawstring. Some lucky person danced the Charleston with this little purse swinging from her wrist. Diameter of purse fully opened 4 1/2", length of purse 5", length of tassel 2 1/2", wristband tightens automatically by metal drawstring to fit any size wrist.

This purse was purchased from a very fine estate sale, and the quality of this Judith Jack purse reflects the sale from which it came. The marquisite (pyrite) is "grade A" mined in South America. The stones are hand set in sterling silver. The design and craftsmanship are superb. The lining repeatedly presents Judith Jack's name. The metal cartouche says "Judith Jack, made in Italy." Purse is 5 1/2" by 4 5/8". 1 1/2" front to back. Beaded chain is 11 1/2" end to end.

This cut steel beaded purse made in France, is in pristine condition. The green cabachon clasp is pushed down to open the purse. The lining is in excellent condition and there is a small change purse and a round mirror which has lost some of its silver. Sassy little pouch purse! This little guy is a charmer. Lovely leather and sleek and shiny ranch mink. The leather plaque on the interior zipper compartment says : made in Italy for Lord & Taylor, 100% mink. The lining ( in perfect condition just like the outside ) repeats over and over again: Paola del Lungo. Purse is 10" wide, 7 1/2" high, 3" side to side. The straps are 22" end to end.
