This delightful vintage sheet wishes you a Gute Nacht, German for Good Night!,machine embroidered in Appenzell style with lobed flower petals and french sanded stitch filled leaves. It is of a soft and very sturdy cotton. It is also monogrammed with a 2" + EH, if not your initials ,perhaps a distant relative's! This is such a unique find for your linen collection. 64" X 90" Freshly washed and ironed, (except I did get a bit of a smudge while I was photographing it)

This delightful soft cotton pillow cover has an insert of 2.5" of lace and edgeof 6" of lace at each end! The lace is machine made but old,with 2 areas of poor repair work,which doesn't detract from overall .This piece was not professional but made at home!The monogram is quaint and hand worked with an outline of red around the flowers embellishing the 2.5" LE monogram. This very soft but sturdy European summer weight cotton bed cover could be used for a sheet, window treatment, or even tablecloth. It measures 53" X 86" including 2" deep mitered hem all around. The top is heavily embroidered in each corner with 9" across of flowers and cutwork,and a 3" swirly CS or GS monogram in the center. It isn't the finest embroidery work,but very attractive.The top edge is worn,but still intact and worthy for a long time! White,white,freshly laundered and ironed!
