This is a striking and lovely, black needlepoint stool. The unique 3 legs are old, iron, railroad coat hangers turned upside down. It measures 9 1/2" high and about 12" wide. The needlepoint is just beautiful with wonderful colors. The design is a little off center, but can be easily fixed. There is a band of black ribbon around the perimeter with vintage push pins. This is a fine Bakelite Art Deco desk top thermometer in the form of the Washington Monument. The thermometer works and it is in good condition with some discoloration of the part with the numbers. It has a label at the bottom which says Washington Monument. It stands 4 1/4" in height and the base is 1 1/2". It dates c. 1920s and was probably a souvenir from Washington, D.C.
