This is a beautiful vintage chocolate box by J S Fry & Sons in a rich blue velvet with gold metal trimmings. Originally must have contained only the finest selection of chocolate confections. The top lid and bottom edges are covered in a rich blue velvet with the sides in blue silk. The corners are of 9kt gold, and there is a lovely decorative handle and clasp. Symmetrical foliate carvings on all surfaces. Box measures 12 1/16 long x 6 wide x 7 1/2 inches high with small age crack as shown in photo.

A Delightful little box in the shape of a Petite Barrel from England! This little Barrel stands 5 1/2" tall. On little silver tone feet with matching clasp. In very nice condition!
