A black-painted carved wood picture frame, 17 1/2" x 13 1/2" (sight), 3 1/4" frame width (outer dimensions of frame, 24" x 20"), the raised sight edge carved with circles within elliptical grooves, the deep, wide, serpentine curve along the outer edge echoed by the large (2 3/4" x 1") hemispherical pieces cut from the edge. The slightest wear only; a small quantity of paper tape remains adhering to a two-inch portion of the sight edge. No date (probably, second third of the twentieth century).

Terribly beautiful! And so tres French! These vintage brass Picture frames are the two largest ones I've ever found! Measuring 7 1/2" x 9 3/4" (not including the top ornament). They have their own self easel and a ring, so you can hang it or place it on a table with your favorite photo. I can also see them with a mirror inside! Very glamorous!
