Here we have an amazing hanging light fixture that is hand carved out of wood in the form of a bird of some kind, probably a swan. It has these great, stylized wings on each side, a nice long pointed beak. In it's beak it appears to hold a bit with a linked chain on each side rather like reins. The back end of the swan is essentially made up of hand forged iron in an inverted "C", which supports the candle lamp, and through which the wiring runs. It is just a remarkable piece. Included here is a pair of vintage mid-century table lamps featuring hand-painted foil decoration depicting Geishas, inside hurricane glass frames. Each lamp measures 18.5" high to the shoulder. Each has its original ceramic figural finial. Heights to the top of the finials are 34.5" and 35.5". Foil color is silver.
