Standing female figurine, highly stylized face, geometric large ears, narrow shoulders, protruding breasts, arms alongside long torso, slightly bent legs resting on small feet. Wood, with light-brown glossy patina. Africa, Burkina Faso, Bobo Fing Peoples. Height: 9 1/4" (23,5 cm). Erosion all over, left hand and feet chipped, age cracks, otherwise good condition. The piece is mounted on a custom wood stand. Ex. old French collection.

Unusual hermaphrodite figurine, in standing posture, typical Pende style head, large and long neck with a goitre, narrow shoulders, small breasts, arms alongside narrow torso but hands not touching hips, small male genitalia, bent legs resting on stylized feet.
