Very large, early handmade painted animal skin and wood TLINGIT drum with beater by ODIN LONNING(born 1953 in Alaska), c.1970's. Huge, it measures 20 1/2" in diameter by almost 3" deep. The skin covered beater is 16 1/2 long. Has both killerwhale and thunderbird design. An attractive, well-made vintage Mi'kmaq / Micmac sweetgrass and wood splint woven basket c1900-20. This 8" diameter and 6-1/4" tall basket features curled wood splint borders on the lid, side and foot with sweetgrass braids and sweetgrass edging on the lid. It has remnants of red colouring (bright on the interior and on the bottom, faded on the exterior). A 9-1/2" tall (including handle) Micmac or Penobscot East Coast native basket c1920-30. This basket has a round bottm changing to a pointed oval at the top, with a handle.
