Two snakes are coiled on the rim of this polychrome pottery bowl by famed Maricopa Indian potter Vesta Bread, b.1912-d.1976.

This appears to have some age, circa 1930s-1950s. Vesta's later work was less free-form and loose like this one.

Not quite a miniature, but definitely a small at 3" tall, this finely made olla by an unknown Maricopa Indian potter is probably Mabel Sunn or Ida Redbird. They made many that they didn't sign.

Nice condition, the tiny imperfections are white house paint and a couple of pin point spalling.

White slipped Hopi pottery jar by Emogene Lomakema, First Prize winner at the Museum of Northern Arizona Hopi Show 1975.

Beautifully hand crafted with coils of native clay, the white slip is perfectly burnished inside and out, as is the tight fitting lid. Painted with bee plant and orange mineral paints then pit fired, no fire clouds.
